In short

What is a liver compress – and why does it help?

The liver plays a key role in detoxification. During alkaline fasting liver compresses help eliminate metabolic waste (how the body breaks down acids).

A liver compress is a moist, hot cloth on the liver area (right upper abdomen), held with a dry towel or hot-water bottle. The warmth is said to improve circulation and stimulate the gall bladder.

⚠️ Note

A liver compress doesn’t replace medical treatment. With acute liver disease, fever or doubts, ask your doctor first.
