In winter the Ore Mountains become one big playground: sledging, cross-country skiing and snowball fights right on the doorstep. Five to six ski lifts are just 2 to 12 kilometres from the hotel – and you can also go skiing with the family across the border in the Czech Republic.

With so much action, good food is a must. Our family-friendly restaurants serve Saxon, Italian and Ayurvedic cuisine – of course also as children’s menus.
A highlight for the little ones: original Italian pizza from the stone oven – and the children may watch the pizza chef at work.
After a short stroll around the Zollhaus, where with a bit of luck you will see deer and hares, the children fall happily into bed – and you can enjoy the evening with a glass of Sicilian wine in our wine bar.

Family weekend in the Ore Mountains
You don’t need two weeks off for a real break. A family weekend in the Ore Mountains is enough for young and old to switch off: arrive on Friday, spend two days with forest, natural lake and playroom – and head home relaxed on Sunday.
From Dresden it takes about an hour to get here. Our family rooms are around 90 m² with two separate bedrooms – so children and parents can sleep in peace. We are happy to provide a cot or an extra bed.

Do you have family rooms?
Yes. Our family rooms are around 90 m² and have two separate bedrooms – ideal for families of up to four. You will find all the details on our rooms page.
Can we get a cot or an extra bed?
Of course. Just let us know when booking or contact reception in good time before arrival, and we will have everything ready.
What can children do when it rains?
There is a free children’s playroom in the hotel. For excursions, try the Toy Museum in Seiffen, Lauenstein Castle or the Karl May Museum in Radebeul.
Is there a swimming pool?
Yes. Our small outdoor pool is open in summer. In addition, the hotel’s own natural lake is only 200 m away – ideal for splashing and swimming.
Are children allowed in the sauna?
Our sauna area is for guests aged 16 and over. For the little ones there is the natural lake, lots of nature and the Forest Park of Generations right opposite.
Can we bring our dog?
Dogs are welcome in five newly renovated double rooms, but unfortunately not in the family room. Find all the details on our page Holiday with your dog in the Ore Mountains.
What are check-in and check-out times?
Rooms are ready from 2 pm and should be vacated by 11 am on the day of departure.
What can children do in winter?
