On the day of arrival, the programme starts in the afternoon.

The Zollhaus offers you a quiet place to relax. The yoga classes take place twice a day. We also offer a 2-3 hour guided hike every day, except on arrival and departure.
Our programme is designed so that you still have enough time for your own free time.

Travelling by train
Travelling by train and public transport
The Zollhaus is in a tiny village in the middle of nature :). There's a small bus stop where a bus stops "every now and then". If you want to do things or go shopping during the day, it's better to come by car. There are no shops in Neuhermsdorf and it's hard to get away without a car.
Options: Take the S-Bahn S1 or S2 to Heidenau and continue with the regional railway line 72 to the spa town of Altenberg (Erzgebirge).
From Dresden main station, take bus line 360 to Altenberg or Schmiedeberg station.
Our recommendation: book a taxi or ask us whether we can pick you up for 25 euros per trip. At weekends that's always difficult, but during the week it's no problem.

Travelling by car
Important: there are two places called Hermsdorf in Germany. Please make sure you enter 01776 Neuhermsdorf / Erzgebirge in your satnav! The other Hermsdorf is far away.
Coming from the east: via Erfurt, Gera, Chemnitz A4 exit Siebenlehn onto the 101 to Freiberg direction Weißenborn direction Frauenstein, direction Rehefeld in Hermsdorf, drive through direction Neuhermsdorf from Berlin Dresden A17, exit Dresden-Südvorstadt. Take the B 170 towards Zinnwald / Altenberg in Altenberg towards Rehefeld, then towards Neuhermsdorf.
From the north on the A 4 motorway, take the Dresden-West exit onto the A 17, then the Dresden Südvorstadt exit onto the B 170 to Possendorf in the direction of Altenberg. In Altenberg drive in the direction of Rehefeld, Neuhermsdorf.
From the west: A 4 motorway exit Siebenlehn - B101 towards Freiberg - from Freiberg follow the signs towards Frauenstein - Hermsdorf - Neuhermsdorf.
From the south: coming from Prague via the E 55 you reach the Zinnwald border crossing. Follow the signs via Altenberg and Rehefeld to reach Neuhermsdorf after approx. 14 km.
Can I bring my dog with me?
That would be possible.
We have dog rooms available and recommend enquiring about availability before booking. (usually booked out quickly)
Bring a sauna towel and bathrobe from home?
You can bring both from home or hire them from us at the hotel for a fee. We recommend bringing bathing shoes from home.
Sauna opening hours
Reception will tell you the opening times of the sauna. You can enter the wellness area with your room card. The sauna is normally open from 17.00 to 21.00, but please book in advance.
How do I get a massage?

Where is the best place to have breakfast?

We recommend having breakfast in the tree cinema. You have the best view from there.
What about yoga equipment?
We have everything here! Mats, blocks, belts. Of course you can also bring your own equipment if required.
Insider tip: In the small yoga room there is a library with great spiritual books to borrow.
Car parks
Plenty of parking spaces are available to our guests free of charge.
Does it make sense to travel by car?
We say: yes, it makes sense.
The car park is located directly at the customs house and is free of charge. If you want to make trips to Dresden, Freiburg, Prague or Teplitz, you need a car. The customs house is really in the middle of nature surrounded by forest in a very small village (60 inhabitants, no shops nearby)

During this extraordinary time, you get the feeling that nature is recovering and giving us back its strength. We hike together through enchanting forests, past small streams, whispering waterfalls or meditatively across meadows.
Unsere Wanderungen führen auch über die Grenze und lassen uns innen wie außen neue Horizonte entdecken. Eine Tour bringt dich direkt hinüber ins wunderschöne Tschechien.
The "Yoga and Hiking" programme is an offer for us to mindfully find our centre and be with each other.
We can also arrange individual appointments for groups of 5 or more.
But what makes hiking here so special? It's the silence, this uncrowded area. We very rarely meet other hikers on our hikes. As you might be used to in some hiking areas.
Some of the hikes are along the famous Kammweg trail, which has just been nominated as Germany's most beautiful hiking trail 2021.
Adventure, wildlife, blooming mountain meadows, unspoilt nature, exciting views in a beautiful landscape and insights into the World Heritage Site make up the appeal of the 285 km hiking trail, which leads from Altenberg to Blankenstein in Thuringia.
