8000er Blockline - Mountainbike A small info excursion:
- There is an extensive network of cycle, MTB and hiking trails, as well as cross-country ski trails
- The Ore Mountains have a varied topography (the tectonic break-off of the Pulpit Rock is the reason for the flat ascent from the north and the steep drop towards the south)
- The peaks on the ridge offer magnificent views and panoramas. Many of them can also be reached by less trained mountain bikers
- There is a close-knit network of infrastructure (inns, leisure and service facilities): the historically characterised cultural landscape along the DE-CZ border offers not only intercultural but also culinary attractions
- the extensive network of forest tracks offers hardly any attractive MTB routes, so-called single trails
- A strong mountain bike event scene has established itself in recent years (EBM, Mad East, Kohlhau Mountain Cup, Frauensteiner MTB race)
- the Erzgebirge forest and the Erzgebirge foothills provide an exciting recreational area
- The densely populated cultural landscape scores with its many sights
Further information

- 30 % Tour (fitness - leisure tours with performance and nature)
- Rest - 37 % - Rides with adventure - adrenalin - competition and competitive sports)
MTB gross sales 2015 in Saxony:
- Overnight stays - Stoneman and MTB events:
- approx. 30 to 35,000 overnight stays
- approx. 15000 day stays

Blockhausen fans (committed companies and private individuals) are called upon to contribute to the realisation of the unique selling point strategy with a chainsaw-carved figure or bench, i.e. with an unmistakable highlight to mark the route, and to take on sponsorship or maintenance.
Increasing brand awareness via social media should almost be a no-brainer!
It would be desirable for the style to match the theme and the surroundings, and it should put a smile on the faces of guests to the Erzgebirge - just like the typical tourist of the past and our little "Kannelberg View Dragon".

Bike hire
Bike station Erzgebirge
You can hire high-quality Steppenwolf bikes from our hotel's own bike hire station. Trekking bikes, hardtails. We also have many tour suggestions ready for you.
Just ask us, we will be happy to help you!
The beautiful Ore Mountains: Hardly any other region in Germany is better known for cycling. Since 2010, we have had a new cycle centre in the heart of the Ore Mountains near Hermsdorf, where you will find a well-developed network of trails. Technically speaking, this is a CROSS COUNTRY area. 45 kilometres from Dresden, the old customs house from the 16th century with its 12,000 hectares of land offers an excellent area for all bike enthusiasts. Whether mountain biking, trekking or road biking, whether off the beaten track or on the road. The network of trails is very well signposted.
Road biking and mountain biking a dream in the Ore Mountains
We at Bikestation Steppenwolf are a little proud to be able to present a new location. We recognise the potential of this hilly and varied environment with its forest floor and gravel tracks - everything from single trails to leisurely wider paths is represented. Especially recommended for leisure cyclists who don't want to torture themselves for 3 hours up the mountain, but still don't want to miss out on a hilly landscape - peppered with beautiful views over the Ore Mountains, its hills and valleys. The terrain is very varied, so you may not meet anyone or only a few like-minded people in a day.
Hotel with bike station in Saxony, ideal conditions
The hotel and our offer are geared towards the needs of the conscious and nature-loving cyclist. There are many streams and small lakes on the tours. So nothing stands in the way of refreshment on the bike tour. You can discover challenging day tours across country to numerous leisure tours or routes along the roads and into the villages. The bike-friendly region (bikes can be easily transported on trains everywhere) is looking forward to welcoming you! And the fTeam of the Landhotel Altes Zollhaus is looking forward to welcoming its cycling guests. A relaxed and culinary stay at the hotel rounds off your cycling holiday.

Children's playground
Children's playroom and children's playground
for our little guests, here they can really let off steam!
The children's playroom is approx. 20 square metres in size and is located on the first floor, above the pizzeria. There are lots of games, soft toys, a large credenza, a small tent and a TV in the children's room. There is also a playroom for the very youngest guests, so that the grown-ups can leave the little ones to their own devices. Here you can also make some real noise!
There is also a small playground on the Zollhaus site.
And right next door is our travelling rider, where there is a small arena where the horses often stay. On request, you can also go for a short ride in the arena or book a nice ride! The playground is exactly as you see it here, with a small bench next to it and this climbing spider.
And here is the ring of our neighbour, the Kamreiter Domke, he has set up his ring on our property, so everything is in the immediate vicinity of the customs house. And therefore ideal for your holiday with children. Please book in advance, otherwise it will be difficult to get a riding lesson. We wish you lots of fun in the great outdoors!
Billiards
The Landhotel also has a nice tournament billiard table
Visit us just to play, you can also have drinks brought to you from our hotel bar. This is a professional billiard table, you will have a lot of fun with it. Wooden cues and balls are of course also included. Costs 5 euros an hour. So what are you waiting for!
We also have a darts board for you!
Darts is free of charge, you can get the darts at the reception desk at any time of day.
The ideal pool table for the discerning player with a sense of tradition, according to our professionals. Billiards is one of the most popular leisure activities, whether professional or amateur, in cafés or at home. The pool table itself is the most important component of the sport and has long since ceased to be found only in pubs and clubs.
This is how the balls are built up, ball no. 1 to the top, then no. 3 and no. 11 etc. It is of course important that the black ball is in the centre and that there are always even and odd numbers alternating.
Many use the 1-ball as the first ball, but this is not absolutely necessary.
