"Midvinter" 2025 - of northern lights, trolls and Christmas trees

Price 72 Euro incl. 3 course menu

Three artists - three concerts - one evening.

They have one thing in common - a love of winter in Scandinavia.
The days and nights are cold and dark. But the snow and the sublime northern lights give hope of the light returning to this icy world. And so people gather round the fire, tell stories from long ago and celebrate the old Nordic festival of the winter solstice in Christian guise - Christmas.

"Midvinter" is an evening full of the magic and music of Scandinavian winter, but also other melodies and sounds. "Linebug", "Wikja" and "Krishn Kypke" take the audience on their very own journey through this world that is so close to us and yet so far away.
A wonderful evening that touches in any case.

"Linebug" (DK)
The Danish duo creates a unique atmosphere through music and live drawing. Singer-songwriter Line Bøgh and painter and digital artist Christian Gundtoft combine music and artistic installation. A project that touches the soul and brings the beauty of invisible places and thoughts to life. The versatility of "Linebug" is not only represented by Scandinavian melodies and the fairy-like voice of Line Bøgh, but also by the unique, hand-drawn, animated music videos by Christian Gundtoft. During her live performances, these are brought to life and projected onto the wall in such a way that Line becomes part of a kind of oversized "graphic novel". This is fantastic and unique in today's concert landscape.

Krishn Kypke (D)
Musicians and world explorers from northern Sweden to southern India. He tells of trolls and myths of the Scandinavian Christmas world with many a curious incident from the far north. He accompanies himself on various instruments from all over the world and tells of his encounters with the people of the Arctic Circle and their peculiarities.

"Wikja" (S)
"Wikja" is an old word for Vikings. These are the past and the heritage of the Scandinavians. The world music duo with roots in the high, barren north refers to this cultural treasure that is reflected in the present and in people's everyday lives.

Stefan Johansson and Linda Blixt grew up in Luleå in the Arctic Circle in northern Sweden. The winters in the north are dark, long and mystical. They shape the landscape, the people and the music. "Wikja's" melodies in the Nordic sound give peace, a feeling of boundlessness and go deep into the heart. At the same time, there is power and sparkling energy in their music.

After travelling the world for 20 years, Stefan returned to his home in northern Sweden and met his childhood sweetheart Linda again. They have been a couple ever since, both privately and musically, and draw inspiration for their songs from Swedish nature, which allow us to look deep into the Nordic soul and at the end of which there is always a door wide open - hope
